VisiConsult X-ray Systems & Solutions has been awarded the training certificate by the local employment agency (City of Lübeck). The agency honours companies from Lübeck and East Holstein that are particularly strong in attracting and retaining skilled workers.

“Many thanks to VisiConsult X-ray Systems & Solutions GmbH for their committed efforts. Germany needs well-trained skilled workers more than ever to cope with the transformation triggered by challenges such as climate change, demographics, and digitalization,” said Markus Dusch, Chairman of the Management Board of the Lübeck Employment Agency. VisiConsult impressed with above-average performance in the decision-making criteria of training quota, trainee support, and cooperation with the Employment Agency.

Since 2011, the medium-sized company has been training apprentices in seven professions (industrial clerks, industrial mechanics, electronics for industrial engineering, mechatronics, IT specialists for system integration and application development, and, last but not least, warehouse logistics), often with several apprentices per profession. The retention rate is also very high. There are usually between seven and eight trainers working in the company. The trainees benefit from direct practical experience, combined with some international business trips. This is supplemented by interdisciplinary qualifications, e.g., interdisciplinary working groups, their own projects, involvement in all areas of the company beyond the specified training plan, and internal/external exam support.

“We train for our own needs, have established our own standards, and take on trainees, offering them horizontal and vertical development opportunities. One of our 40 trained junior staff, for example, trained as an industrial mechanic, completed his technician qualification alongside his job, and now works as a design engineer. We have grown significantly in recent years and would like to train many more young people,“ reports Managing Director Lennart Schulenburg. ”We are seeing a trend toward higher education, but people with technical skills will continue to be in high demand in the future. Machines don’t build themselves. I am proud of our trainers, because our junior staff often complete their training ahead of schedule. We currently have four trainees, with four more joining us in the fall. Unfortunately, training positions often remain unfilled, particularly in electronics and mechatronics, because young people are not sufficiently aware of these interesting, future-proof professions.”

For VisiConsult, grades are not the most important thing; it is the person, their interests, and their personality that count. In addition to traditional channels such as job advertisements and placement through the employment agency, the company relies on personal contacts through internships, trade fairs, open formats such as Girls’ Day, Social Day, or school partnerships. Unsolicited applications are welcome at any time, and applications for the 2026 intake in all seven apprenticeship professions are already being accepted.
