Last year the leading industrial X-ray specialists, VisiConsult X-ray Systems & Solutions, opened a new subsidiary and customer solution center in Pune, India. Now recently, two reputable NDT X-ray experts were hired to further enable better support of local customers.

The expansion to India was driven by VisiConsult’s founder Hajo Schulenburg to better serve this large and important region of the world. “Through local staff, we can now respond better to local requirements in many ways. And with the addition of our first two Indian colleagues we bundle 70 years of experience in X-ray.” says Hajo Schulenburg. In addition to production capabilities for the local market, the subsidiary will have an application center, as well as service and sales experts.

Rajesh Kulkarni is appointed as General Manager for the Indian subsidiary. Having worked for over 25 years in the field of Industrial X-ray in different roles from customer services to head of customized X-ray systems business, Rajesh has developed a vast understanding of client expectations and needs. He says: “From conceptualizing to delivering the systems as per the customer requirements, customers can look forward to working with us.”

He is among the few people who can blend the complex X-ray technology with automation and provide a comprehensive solution to the customers from various fields like automobile, aerospace, foundries, pipe and tubes, defense and many more.

Venugopal Manoharan joined VisiConsult as a Principal Technologist & Radiation Safety Officer. He has over 30 years of R&D experience in the field of 2D/3D Radiological Imaging at premier institutions like Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research and GE Research. Furthermore, he has 12 issued patents and 30+ technical publications, thus he has a proven expertise in Digital Radiography, Computed Tomography and Radiation safety & regulatory aspects of Industrial Radiography.
