As part of the regular election of Supervisory Board members, Lennart Schulenburg, Managing Director of VisiConsult, was elected to the Supervisory Board of Basler AG. The company is listed on the SDax and strengthens its board further with digital and technology know-how.
The election of Mr. Schulenburg (32 years old) will significantly rejuvenate the supervisory board of Basler AG, and further increase the diversity of the board.
“Lennart Schulenburg will complement the supervisory board in important aspects of our requirements: Particularly in the areas of technology, innovation, agility and digital competence, but also with regard to image processing and growth management his essential competences and experiences will be added to the supervisory board.” says founder and chairman of the supervisory board Norbert Basler.
In addition to his education as a computer scientist with a focus on image processing and an Executive MBA at the ESMT, Lennart Schulenburg has an extensive technical and commercial understanding. His experience as a second-generation managing director is very valuable for the primarily family-owned company Basler AG. Regulatory requirements are met by his training as a “qualified supervisory board member and financial expert” including an examination before the German stock exchange. Furthermore, Mr. Schulenburg can contribute CSR and ESG knowledge through his additional certification as a sustainability manager.
There is a strong technological proximity between Basler AG and VisiConsult X-ray Systems & Solutions GmbH. Both companies use electromagnetic waves to inspect objects – just with different wavelengths. Also, in common is that image processing plays a major role for both companies. Therefore, Mr. Schulenburg already knows the industries, markets, and many customers of Basler AG very well.
